Happy Birthday Strawberry Jude Stamps!

Hello there,

I thought I would hop on the blog today and tell you all about SJS's Birthversary party. It is quite an event. Each year SJS has had a bash in their Facebook Fan Club. It is a week long event including the best sale prices of the year, 5 giveaways and a FREE Birthday Digi for e-mail subscribers. It is so fun.

Full Disclosure: I am the Lead Enabler for SJS. I do a lot and I am the one giving all the stamps away. :D It is such a fun job to give everything away.

The Birthday Digi is a fun line up of SJS images. I made three different cards. with it. There are more pictures of the cards on my Instagram and Facebook Page.

This digi was super fun to play with. There are 2 images on each PDF. I used some and so did my kids. They each made a card too. Their cards were given to Travis for his birthday. Happy *late* Birthday Travis!

So since I am out of Birthday cards, it is time to start up my stash again. Are birthday cards a big hit in your family? They certainly are in mine. So for my card today I went dragon themed.

Crafty Supplies:
-Neenah Black Cardstock
-Distress Oxide Ink: Iced Spruce
-Hero Arts Dots stencil
-Rainbows and Roses SJS Set
-Dragons and Jewels SJS Set
-Shimmer Spritz Frost
-Glossy Accents
-Prismacolor Premier Pencils
-Distress Ink: Picked Raspberry
-Versafine Onyx Black Ink

I enjoy making my own backgrounds. Believe it or not. I start all my cards with a white piece of cardstock. I stamped the dragon with versa fine and cut her out with my Scan N Cut 2. I adore my SNC2 and I don't think I would enjoy card making as much as I do without it. Then I colored my dragon with my pencils and added glossy accents. Then I set that aside and moved on to the card base. Started by coating it in black versa fine ink, then laying down my stencil and blending in Iced Spruce Distress Oxide. I let that dry and then coated the entire card in Iced Spruce to tone down the dots.

I let that dry and then went down the card panel with my Happy Birthday stamp from Rainbows and Roses SJS set. It was fun and easy. I then took the sparkles and added them randomly to the sides of the card panel. I made my own banner from a strip of paper coated in more Iced Spruce and stamped Happy birthday in Distress Ink Picked Raspberry. Finally I took that Picked Raspberry and rubbed it on my card base for a perfect match on the base.

I glossied everything... because a card is never complete without Glossy Accents.

There is still a $50 giveaway to enter today on the SJS Fan Club, GO ENTER (ends 10PM 11/17/17)!! Goodluck! Oh and the sale on www.strawberryjudestamps.com ends on Sunday 11/19/17. Remember to add "Berry Birthday" in the notes of your order to receive the Berry Birthday SJS set for FREE!

I hope you enjoyed & Happy Stamping,
